Video Resources, Inc.

RED ONE Camera Rental

On August 31st, Video Resources received two of the first RED ONE cameras to roll off the production line. Both cameras, which boast a film-quality digital 4k resolution and weigh in at a svelte 9 pounds, are available for long or short-terms rentals. (And you can bet we'll be using them quite a bit too!)

In addition to the base cameras, our early commitment to this sophisticated and future-proof acquisition system allowed us to capitalize on advance offerings of RED accessories that can be included in your RED camera rental package or rented as stand-alone accessories to augment your own RED gear.

Revolutionary
Imaging System

The RED ONE camera's revolutionary imaging system is championed by industry heavyweights like Peter Jackson and Steven Soderbergh. In side by side comparisons, Jon Farhat, VFX Supervisor of "Wanted", favored footage acquired with the RED ONE camera over footage acquired with film, due to the greater dynamic range provided by the RED ONE camera. Now you can shoot like the big boys for a fraction of the cost.

Our own early experience with these cameras left us particularly impressed with the stunning image quality and depth of field, as well as the extremeflexibility of the 4k RAW image format. To address in-the-field footage QC and backup, we've pre-configured a MacBook Pro with appropriate software, high-speed media readers and guidelines for media management. Alternatively, we offer portable, self-contained compact flash card readers and transfer devices (sans computer) for rent.

Personality to spare

Not to be outdone by Boris and Natasha - the prototype RED ONE cameras used by Peter Jackson - our own cameras arrived clamoring for names as well. Ripley and Connor are looking forward to sharing their stories as they help revolutionize video and film making as we know it today. We expect their blog will be informative and occasionally entertaining.
